Bethel grad Easter plays in George Mason loss

Bethel High School graduate Amber Easter score eight points in George Mason University's 60-46 loss in the first round of the CAA Tournament to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington on March 14 at Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Md., Mason's website reported.

The senior guard recorded seven rebounds and five assists in her last game for the Patriots, who finished 9-21 on the season.

Easter is a 2009 graduate of Bethel High School, where she was a four-year letter winner on the basketball court for the Bruins finishing her career with more than 1,300 points and 500 rebounds. Easter was a McDonald's all-American nominee, and she garnered first and second-team all-state and all-district recognition. She was named co-Peninsula District player of the year in 2007-08 as a junior. Easter was also a three-year letter earner on the track team at Bethel. She ranked fourth in the state in the high jump with a personal best of 5'6". Easter was a member of the school band and graduated with highest honors. The daughter of Betty and Jeff Fulgham, she is majoring in psychology at George Mason. She is from Hampton.
