Kecoughtan grad Batten scores 19 points in Old Dominion loss
Kecoughtan High School graduate Dimitri Batten scored 19 points in Old Dominion University's 70-59 loss to conference rival Hofstra University on Feb. 24, according to Old Dominion's website.
The sophomore guard also recorded two rebounds and one steal for the Monarchs who are 4-24 on the season and 2-14 in the Colonial Athletic Association.
Old Dominion's next game is 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at home against Drexel University.
Batten is a 2010 graduate of Kecoughtan High School. He was twice named the Peninsula District Player of the Year and earned second team all-state honors during his high school career. The Newport News native is a sociology major.
