Hampton runner completes Virginia Wesleyan 8K

Hampton runner Tessa Peterson completed the Virginia Wesleyan 8K (Mud In Your Eye XC Series) on Saturday, Jan. 26 in Norfolk.

The 24-year-old runner finished in 1:02:06.

Race organizers said 154 runners finished the 8K race, which began and ended at Virginia Wesleyan.

Eric Hack, of Cape Charles, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 30:48, while Christina Summer, of Norfolk, was the winner in the women's category with a time of 37:16.
