Hampton runner completes Bells Mill 5K

Hampton runner Tessa Peterson completed the Bells Mill 5K (Mud In Your Eye XC Series) on Saturday, Jan. 12 in Chesapeake.

The 24-year-old runner finished in 36:47.

Race organizers said 199 runners finished the 5K race, which began and ended at Bells Mill Park.

Billy Chorey, of Suffolk, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 16:45, while Hollie Heimer, of Chesapeake, was the winner in the women's category with a time of 19:43.
