Kecoughtan High School graduate Dimitri Batten scored 15 points, but Old Dominion University lost 68-66 at home to conference rival Towson on Jan. 30 at Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, Old Dominion's website reported.

Batten also recorded one assist, one steal and two blocks for the Monarchs, who are 2-18 on the season and 0-8 in the CAA.

Old Dominion's next game is 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 on the road against Georgia State.

Batten, a 6-foot-3 redshirt sophomore guard for Old Dominion University, is a 2010 graduate of Kecoughtan High School. He was a twice named the Peninsula District Player of the Year and earned second team all-state honors during his high school career. The Newport News native is the son of Denise Batten and is a sociology major.
