Bethel grad Bacote plays in Old Dominion loss
Bethel High School graduate Aaron Bacote scored four points as Old Dominion University lost 69-54 at home to conference rival Georgia State Saturday, Jan. 19, at Constant Center in Norfolk, the Old Dominion website reported.
Bacote also recorded three rebounds, one assist and a steal for The Monarchs, who are 2-16 on the season and 0-6 in the Colonial Athletic Association.
Old Dominion's next game is 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 on the road against James Madison.
Bacote, a 6-foot-5 freshman guard for Old Dominion University, is a 2012 graduate of Bethel High School. The Hampton native averaged 22 points per game to lead the Peninsula District in scoring and was named Peninsula District Player of the Year during his senior year for coach Craig Brehon. He is the son of Ted and Cathy Bacote.
