Bethel grad Dunn contributes to Virginia Wesleyan victory
Bethel High School graduate Jashaun Dunn played for Virginia Wesleyan College in an 89-82 win over conference rival Roanoke College Saturday, Jan. 19, at Bast Gymnasium in Salem, the Wesleyan website reported.
Dunn helped the Marlins improve to 12-4 on the season and 8-0 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
Virginia Wesleyan College's next game is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 at home against Shenandoah.
Dunn is a freshman basketball player for Virginia Wesleyan College. He is a 2012 graduate of Bethel High School in Hampton, where he was honorable mention All-Peninsula District as a senior. He scored 10 points and grabbed 12 rebounds per game. The interdivisional studies major is from Hampton and is the son of Jarrett Banks and Yulanda Dunn.
