Kecoughtan High School grad Walters completes Air Force basic military training

Michael A. Walters, of Hampton, recently completed basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

According to a Joint Hometown News Service release, "The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills."

With the completion of basic military training, Walters has attained the rank of Airman 1st Class.

Walters is a graduate of Kecoughtan High School and the son of David Walters.
