Business Accounting for Entrepreneurs scheduled for Jan. 7

The Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a Business Accounting for Entrepreneurs seminar for Monday, Jan. 7 to Monday, Jan. 28.

The seminar will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Mondays at National Institute of Aerospace, 100 Exploration Way, Hampton. Cost is $395. To register, visit www.eventzilla.net.

According to a The Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce release, "Learn to set up your chart of accounts, figure out what a statement of cash flows tells you (vs. a profit and loss), and why a balance sheet is your most informative report and why most people don't know how to read one."

The Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce serves the cities of Newport News, Hampton and Poquoson, as well as James City and York counties. Its mission is to advocate and support the economic and business interests of the Virginia Peninsula and the region. The chamber is governed by a board of directors, of which Mark Hanna serves as the chairman of the board's executive committee.
