Hampton Convention, Visitor Bureau events, Jan. 28-31

The Hampton Convention and Visitor Bureau announced the following events schedule for Monday, Jan. 28 through Thursday, Jan. 31.

• On Monday, Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m. Paco Pena will perform. Since 1970, Paco Pena has performed regularly with his own hand picked company of dancers, guitarists and singers in a succession of ground breaking shows. Maestro Pena embodies both authentic and innovation in flamenco.

• On Thursday, Jan. 31 at 7:30 p.m. Jane Monheitwill perform with special guest Mark O'Connor. According to a press release, "jazz vocalist Jane Monheit and violinist Mark O'Connor are celebrating the Great American Songbook with their unique and heartfelt approach to this classic music. Widely acclaimed as the modern day diva of jazz, Monheit celebrates the golden age of the jazz standard."

The Hampton Convention and Visitor Bureau is responsible for promoting tourism to Hampton and marketing and sales for the Hampton Roads Convention Center. Its staff consists of a sales team and media team. The executive director is Sallie Grant-DiVenuti.
